Why the local check is free, and stays free
It runs on your hardware, so it costs us nothing to serve. Metering it would only slow down
the one thing that makes this business work: you finding out that the findings are real
before anybody has to ask permission for anything. Every paid tier includes it unlimited,
because every tier includes everything in the tier below.
Why the expensive part runs on your Azure bill
The heavy work at Level 2 is planned to run inside your own subscription. That means
the compute is billed to you by Microsoft on the agreement you already have, at the price
you already negotiated — and it means your data never has to move to us for the heavy
work to happen. We orchestrate; you own the environment. It is not built yet.
What you are not paying for
No implementation project, no per-report development cycle, and no seat licences for people
who only want to read a finding. If any of that changes as the commercial model is decided,
this page changes with it.
